It’s so ironic that among the schools/universities here in the Philippines, Bachelor of Science in Nursing is the most overpopulated among all the courses. But then our hospitals are very lacking of nurses, or course we know the reason why… They all went abroad!
Let me stress out when nursing career was really a big hit since 2003 and with the directive of Philippine Government that a RN can only work abroad once he/she has served the country for two years. If I am not mistaken with my calculation, since 2003 there opened “special program (SP)” for nursing education to all graduates of a four-year course. This SP Course will be finish in two years time including two summer classes. With the rule imposed by the government of two-year service our hospitals could have at least enough nurses to accommodate patients, not to the point of having a ratio of 1:50. I’m telling you, this is really true especially in public hospitals. What’s really the most exasperating is that some hospitals are actually taking advantage of the situation. They will only hire you as their staff nurse once you have undergone six moths of training with them. Imagine, for that 6 months of training you are rendering your services yet you will be the one to pay the hospital for that training! And then, once you have completed your 6-month training, you are going to take examination for you to get officially hired, and with that examination you will AGAIN pay for it! Wow! then why do hospital employees still get their salary very delayed, nor always run out of medicines. I think there’s some sort of corruption in this matter. So, I really can’t blame why Filipino nurses went abroad to work there ‘coz aside from the fact that they are compensated 3 to 4 times much higher abroad, one factor also is because of the system here in our country. Imagine we don’t have enough modern equipments, and even medicines and lab supplies is always insufficient. I think the reason why we don’t have much medical discoveries is because the government lacks to provide support. How would they be able to conduct studies and researches if there’s always a deficiency in providing laboratory products and other scientific instruments.. Imagine another sector in the medical field, apart from the nurses’ situation has its own dilemma too.
Too bad that, us, Filipinos cannot get the benefits of “Pinoy Care” of our nurses, instead it is the foreign countries who can have this special care… lucky these foreign are for hiring Filipino nurses. It’s not easy to work abroad and leave your family here just get better pay, so I just hope that the government MUST find for a solution on this matter.

My Dad’s retirement has set off its effect last March 10, 2008 (his birthday). I don’t know why here in my country like it took 48 years -> (means very, very, very long time) of waiting after you get retirement fee. By next month, my Dad will no longer receive a paycheck as his service has ended. We’re aware of how lengthy it is to get his retirement fee but with all the bills and household expenses we need, I think we are so in trouble now (LOL). I wonder if we can apply for an inheritance advance though I know that the money we are expecting to receive in time isn’t about being an “heir thing” but I just look in for our chances if we can avail for it. Goods and other commodities’ prices keep on increasing and I can already foresee scarcity in our funds.. my monthly pay and my mom’s earnings still not quite enough and so I’ll just try to find ways to settle this crisis.

Saturdays still a working day for private companies, in our company it is suppose to be a half day work, not unless if there’s a vessel on call.. whether it is Sunday or Holiday, for as long as there’s a vessel to arrive or depart, you really have no choice but stay on duty. Government employees are just so lucky for they have two days break in a week – Saturday and Sunday.
Well anyways, Donna and I got off from the office past 12 noon and went straight ahead to Victoria plaza as she’s going to meet her Mom, while me has to buy something (pasalubong) for my dearest niece – Niece, and buy myself a lunch as well for I don’t like what has Inday prepared for our lunch (Sinabawan’g Bariles at walang kamatayan’g Paksiw!) Still at Victo… while waiting for Donna’s mom I started to get sleepy until I reached home. After I had my lunch no matter how strongly I fought myself not to fall asleep ‘coz I’m still full, I just couldn’t stop myself from getting drowsy and I suddenly broke down and I just gave myself up to my bed and sleep. When I woke up, I took a glance at my mobile phone to check the time… OMG!!! It’s already past 5 in the afternoon!!! I was really startled ‘coz I promised my friend – Barbie just before I went off from the office that I’ll get back on YM after having my lunch so we can chat. Aside from that, I really do need to get back online to update all my blogs, of course! Especially now that Bloggerwave has given me job postings to three of my Blog sites. Gosh I’m so happy for this ‘coz I’m going to Make Money for this… I’m just feeling so inspired and enthused whenever I received link assignments

I’m a graduate of commerce majored in management… a business course but honestly, I still don’t have enough courage to make a business of my own.. I mean a serious business that I’m the one who’s going to manage and do all those in financing. Yes, my family had tried some before but we’re not able to make it productive.
Actually, I already made up my mind during college days that even though I’m taking up business course, I still don’t want to pursue on establishing a business of my own because of those failed attempts of my parents. I think that’s the point in my life that I lose courage in engaging a business of my own, and up to now I still don’t know why I ended taking up that business course and still pursue to finish that course knowing that it wouldn’t be beneficial on my projected career – that is to work as a regular employee abroad. A number reasons why I wouldn’t end up having a business of my own such as I hate selling and I’m not a risk taker.
For now, I’m working as an accounting staff at a certain shipping agency but now that my Dad has retired in his work, we are into planning of engaging in business again! I’m still uncertain about it because you know economy’s really these days and it’s really a big gamble on your finances. I want to be optimistic about it after all this could be our key to riches. I’m studying on our plan, and somehow.. with my finished education I have enough background about businesses, and with our past experiences on businesses we know more or less what are our weaknesses and is lacking in us. Sometimes we just need failures in order to succeed so I just hope we’re going to make it big and soon after we’re going to be top company and we’re going to need more incorporation services for more advancement of our trade.

Why do people are so hypocrite in terms of cosmetic plastic surgery.. I mean we are now in the new age and we always tend to say that we are so modern now and some things that are unaccepted before are now welcomed and gradually accepted in the society… but then still up to now, we cannot debar some people to voice out their views and opinions on plastic surgery. Of course it is fine to speak out your own beliefs and opinions for we have the freedom of speech and we have all the right to express our opinions but then far off from expressing your opinions you should remain only to your concept and stick to what you believe but not interfere to anyone’s decisions on how to lead their lives… I mean I’m just so pissed off with some slickers in the society who do nothing but step in into someone else’s life… I mean why don’t you just mind your own business and work on your own concept. If some people are patronizing plastic surgery then so be it… If that would make them happy and contented then let them be… it’s their life and your rights stops in controlling one’s life.

When I think about it, I’m getting heavier and fatter and this is bugging me out because as of today there are so many ways and means of how to keep your self in the best shape possible. I heard a lot of diet pills and slimming pills may it be tablet, capsule, syrup just name it… The thing is I’m afraid of trying those stuff as it could damage your health, and besides there is physical exercise also, and since I’m into it I still want to find the best way possible because in any way there will always be the advantage and disadvantage of physical exercise. We know that people do physical exercise because of the advantages that they get from it. Exercise promotes fitness and general well being, sure. We relieve ourselves from stress by just doing so, and yes it will really trim me down. Through a series of exercise, I’m sure it’ll do away the unneeded bulges in my body… and yes it really improves confidence, if we are physically fit, we can face the world with courage and a positive spirit. Nevertheless, I know that there are also some disadvantages to physical exercise especially if we do it excessively by overdoing it, we become completely exhausted and we won’t have the energy to do other tasks. Another thing is it can fracture us if we do not observe the correct way of executing a particular stroke, yes so it is still scary hehehe and if you enroll at a gym, it will cost you a lot especially if you go for an expensive gym. Hhmmpp! Why is it so difficult to lose weight? Could Neil Crespi answer me?

Today’s weather gives me so much sweating. It’s a good thing if these sweats come out in me as a result of work out, but its not! I wonder why is it too hot nowadays… then I just come to think about global warming. duh! heavy!! hahaha! Honestly, I so much fear about this thing. I mean hello?!?! this isn’t just a minor problem, but its such a big deal. We’re talkin’ ’bout the whole world here, this is ain’t just a problem for a single or a particular continent but a problem of the earth. OMG! What if just by next year or even next month this will happen just like we’ve seen in the movies. *knock on woods* Gosh! I don’t want to have a harsh death, like being in that situation, you know running like a mad woman that you have nowhere to go..grabeh! you will loose you dignity and poise! And then your screaming and crying to death just like anybody else because you don’t know what to do! Grabeh nakakahiya bwahahaha!! Oh I forgot, above all… I don’t wanna die virgin!
Anyways, for sure the US are doing something for this terrible thing about to happen. Thanks for their wealth and resources that they are able to study on this matter.
